The Cheshire & Shropshire Immediate Care Group or CSIBASICS as we're known, are a group of volunteers who have one common goal and that is to help those in need.

Our volunteer responders are called by the ambulance service to attend serious accidents or incidents in which our extended skills or expertise are needed. Our responders are all time served Doctors with a range of backgrounds including General Practice, Emergency Medicine, Anaesthesia and Surgery.

- Our Mission Statement

We receive no statutory funding and rely solely upon your donations.

As a charity, we have been operating since 1973.

Our volunteer doctors make themselves available to be called by the ambulance service. This could be from their own home in their private unmarked vehicles or forming part of a crew in the team rapid response vehicle.

We have the ability to deliver stronger pain relief, prehospital surgical interventions or providing prehospital anaesthesia.

We have seen steadily increasing calls for our skills both in our own patch and further afield.

We receive no funding from any statutory service. To remain operational, we need to fundraise or apply for grants to continue our lifesaving work.

The British Association for Immediate Care was founded as a charity in 1977 and combines bringing people together who have an interest in pre-hospital immediate care with supporting and promoting regional and local immediate care schemes across the UK.
